Tsaghkadzor is a small spa town and a popular health resort in Armenia. Tsaghkadzor means valley of flowers in Armenian. The city is located 50 kilometers north of Yerevan at a height of 1750 meters above sea level, surrounded with alpine meadows. Because of the last years substantial investments in hospitality and sports infrastructure, the city, where five decades ago the Olympic Sports Complex was built (in 2008 it was thoroughly overhauled), became an attractive ski and snowboard resort for winter sports lovers from all around the world.

Tsaghkadzor is a perfect resort for skiers: heavy snowfalls provide a resistant snow cover, thickness of which reaches 2 meters. On the hillsides of Teghenis (2819m) both hard-headed thrill-seekers and inexperienced beginners can find suitable ski runs. Numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, located in Tsaghkadzor, will offer you a wide choice of delicious courses of national and European cuisine. Menu includes all culinary trends, necessary for the modern liver to feel gastronomical accomplishment – the best Armenian courses, Carpaccio, all variations of Caesar’s salad, rack of lamb, Greek salad and other must-haves.

One of the most interesting religious complexes of Armenia is located in Tsaghkadzor. The Kecharis Monastery of the 11th century is a group of 4 churches, and it is one of the well-preserved medieval architectural samples of the Armenian Highland.
